THE Trump regime in the United States has announced its plans to pillage Venezuela for all they can and ensure a friendly regime in Caracas, following the illegal kidnapping of President Maduro.
The regime has divided this plan into three stages, which they have dubbed 'stabilisation', 'recovery', and 'transition'. The first phase, 'stabilisation' is the most publicly fleshed out.
The so-called stabilisation phase would primarily consist of the theft of upwards of 50 million barrels of oil from the oil-rich Venezuela and its people to sell illegally on the international market, and the plundering of all of Venezuela's wealth. Following this would be the 'recovery' phase, which would consist of the widespread forced privatisation of the assets of the Venezuelan people, with extreme preferential treatment given to businesses from the occupying regime, as well as the release of criminals and quislings sympathetic to the US regime from Venezuelan prisons.
No details have been given of the 'transition' phase, and no timeframe for the end of US pillaging of everything in Venezuela has been given.
The United States has long touted its support for the 'international rules based order', and these recent actions show that the United States simply does not care about the 'international rules based order' when they are able to expand their colonial-style sphere of influence.
Despite the release of this plan, the Venezuelan government remains in full control of the country, has been working to arm its working class, and has been working to prevent quislings from gaining influence in the country, authorising police to find collaborationists and supporters of US imperialism in the country.
