MAJOR protests have hit the United States following the murder of Renee Good by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) thugs.
Good had allegedly attempted to block ICE during their at the time ongoing raids in Minneapolis, and as a result was fatally shot by ICE agents.
ICE agents are notorious for their lack of training, and are usually simply far-right thugs recruited from fascist organisations such as Patriot Front and the Proud Boys.
In response to the killing, US Democrats have, largely for the first time, given protest to the actions of the Trump-led regime. Mayor Jacob Frey of Minneapolis stated that the excuse given by the ICE thugs - that of 'self-defence' is 'bullshit', and he demanded that ICE 'get the fuck out' of Minneapolis. Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota seconded these calls hours later. Frey additionally accused ICE of 'sowing chaos' in his city.
Workers across the country have taken to the streets almost immediately to protest the murder, with at large crowds in many cities across the country demanding the immediate end of ICE raids and deportations, and the end of the Trump regime.
The protest in Minneapolis held after the murder was estimated to have over 10,000 attending.
In Australia, there has been little reaction from the government, who will not punish the United States in any way for their actions.
Socialist Party (Australia) committee member Jordan van den Lamb has stated that it is 'crazy' that the United States has sunk to this level, and that the ruling class in other countries, specifically Australia, has let them get away with these crimes.
